Steve wanted a reliable prerunner that could go the entire season with nothing more than routine oil changes. Comfort was also a main requirement. Luckily money was no object. The interior is loaded: power windows and doors, air conditioning, Kenwood 6 disc CD changer, Kenwood FM race radio, built in ice chest, custom aluminum dash with glovebox, and even dome and mirror lights just like a truck right off the lot! The frame and all components are handmade made from 4130 chromolly. The entire truck is TIG welded. There is plenty of storage built into the bed providing functionality without disrupting the truck's sleek lines. The truck has a low center of gravity for better handling. Steve's prerunner exceeded all of his expectations. In fact, except for a few photos by email, Steve hadn't seen much of the truck during it's construction. So when Craig delivered the completed vehicle to it's first race, Steve actually walked right passed it! After he made a few comments on how trick it was, Craig told him it was his. He was totally speechless and had a smile from ear to ear all weekend. |
